History of the Flame: the Arizona Flame used to be the Phoenix Flame in 2007 (as seen in the photo above and the '07 stats and stories below). The Arizona Flame will rebuild in Casa Grande for a strong 2009 season; owner Steven Moss Kelley "the league has gotten very strong and we need to take a year to rebuild to the level of the league" describing his plans to promote and sell in '08 for a strong 2009 season in Casa Grande. In 2008, the Arizona Flame will, however, play 6 official IBL games (away games in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Las Vegas); these games will count as official IBL games. 2007 Season Notes |
Phoenix Flame (9-10)— The Flame finished their inaugural IBL season just under the 50 percent win mark. Owner Stephen Moss-Kelley has been a steady contributor on the court for the Flame this season, averaging over 12 points per contest. New recruit Devin Greene had a promising debut, averaging 27.5 points per game in his first two games for Phoenix.
