The Chill became the first team outside the U.S to join the IBL when they signed on in October of 2007. The Chill have clearly made an impression on the local community, as 2,131 fans showed up to the MacEwan Centre to watch the season opener. The Chill won 10 straight home games to round out their home-slate, including two hard fought wins over the Vancouver Volcanoes over the weekend. The Chill will finish their inaugrual IBL regular season on Thursday, June 26 against the Jazz of Tacoma before facing either the Central Oregon Hotshots or Portland Chinooks (depending on seeding) in the first round of the IBL West Division Playoffs in Monroe, Washington on Friday, June 27. |
