Illustration left: National bracket tournament MVP David Lucas. The 6’ 8” David Lucas was a two-time All-PAC 10 performer for the Oregon State Beavers (2004/2005) before moving on to a professional career. Lucas led the IBL in scoring in 2007 and 20008 (37.0 ppg in 2008). David is the son of former NBA great Maurice Lucas. Lucas scored an extremely efficient 49 points in two wins over the Vancouver Volcanoes and the Snohomish County Explosion to get his Oregon Wave team to the 2009 finals. Illustration right: American bracket tournament MVP Darrick Martin scored 48 points in two wins over Seattle and Bellingham; Martin, a point guard from UCLA and a former NBA player—scored 22 of his 28 points in the final quarter of the conference final as L.A. overcame an early 26-11 deficit to win by 11 points over the Bellingham Slam.
