The International Basketball League will follow NBA rules with a few exceptions: five fouls, 22 second shot clock and the following two dead ball rules: The IBL speeds up time between plays with an immediate inbounds and allows for only one timeout per quarter. In an IBL game, there is very little dead time; it is this absence of dead time that leads to a faster and more entertaining game
