- 2007 IBL Title Game - Portland (109) vs. Elkhart (113)-- The Elkhart Express (22-4) defended their IBL Championship title against the visiting Portland Chinooks (20-6). The Express defeated the Chinooks 113 to 109 in front of 3,400 fans to secure their spot as IBL Champions for one more season. This is the first year a team from the west coast has competed in the title game. The Chinooks came out strong leading the Express by 15 points at the end of the first half and continued to dominate well into the second half of play. With 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter, Express Head Coach Daimon Beathea switched his team to a zone defense to slowdown the Chinooks. The Express used the opportunity to outscore the Chinooks 40-27 in the fourth quarter and take the lead. The Express’ Coleco Buie led all scorers with 22 points. Sunday, July 1--'07 (Game 254) - Portland (119) vs. Santa Barbara (106)-- The Portland Chinooks advanced to the IBL's title game with the win over the Breakers at Warner Pacific College on Sunday. Portland opened up a 33-22 lead in the first quarter, and began the second period on a 16-6 run to take control of the game. David Lucas led all scorers with 36 points, and earned West Region MVP honors in the process. Toby Bailey paced the Breakers with 31 points in the loss. Sunday, July 1--'07 (Game 253) - Elkhart (116) vs. Battle Creek (112)-- The Elkhart Express earned a return trip to the IBL title game with Sunday's victory over Battle Creek in front of 2,512 fans at North Side Gym. The Express outscored the Knights 6-2 in the final minute to secure the win. Cedric Moodie had another stellar game for the Express, leading all scorers with 31 points. Moodie was named the East Region MVP. Coleco Buie and Tim Pledger also turned in solid performances in the win, scoring 28 and 21 points respectively. Bobby Madison led the Knights with 22 points. Sunday, July 1--'07 (Game 252) - 2007 International Basketball League All-Star Game - Southwest All-Stars (151) vs. West All-Stars (148)--
The IBL’s third annual All-Star Game pitted the Southwest Division against the West Division at Warner Pacific College on Sunday. Eugene Chargers Head Coach Chris Denker coached the Southwest squad to a 151-148 win over a West team led by Seattle Mountaineers Head Coach Don Sims. The West led for the majority of the game, but the Southwest staged a late rally, led by Blake Walker’s 18 fourth quarter points—including 13 straight points. Walker finished with 32 points. Las Vegas’ DaJuan Tate led the Southwest All-Stars with 38. Justin Murray of the Everett Explosion led all scorers with 41 points for the West All-Stars. Scoring Summary.
Saturday, June 30--'07 (Game 251) - Portland (140) vs. Salem (123)--The Chinooks used an outstanding closing performance to upset the top seeded Stampede on Saturday. Portland outscored Salem 39-23 in the fourth quarter to cement the win. The Chinooks will face Santa Barbara in the West Region final at 4:00pm on July 1. Saturday, June 30--'07 (Game 250) - Santa Barbara (119) vs. Everett (111)--The Santa Barbara Breakers advanced to the West Region title game with the hotly contested victory over the Explosion in Saturday's regional semifinal. Fred Vinson broke a tie at 110 with a fade-away three pointer with 2 seconds remaining on the shot clock, giving the Breakers a lead they would not relenquish. Saturday, June 30--'07 (Game 249) - Elkhart (127) vs. Elgin (118)-- The Express got back on track against a Racers team that has had their number recently. Elgin had won the previous two meetings, but the Express came out on top in this one--advancing to the East Region Finals (Sunday, July 1). Saturday, June 30--'07 (Game 248) - Battle Creek (149) vs. Marysville (125)-- The Knights earned a trip to the regional finals with the impressive win over the East's top seed on Saturday. Friday, June 29--'07 (Game 247) - Salem (146) vs. Lewis County (112)-- The Stampede lived up to their top seed in the West, using a balanced attack to overwhelm the Raptors on Friday. Seven Stampede players scored in double figures, led by 27 points from Mike Tabb. Ronnie Ross led all scorers with 29 points for the Raptors. Friday, June 29--'07 (Game 245) - Portland (151) vs. Las Vegas (130)-- The Chinooks and Stars battled through a tightly contested first half before Portland took control in the second half. The Chinooks had too much firepower in the interior, with David Lucas and Bonell Colas combining for 73 points in the win. Lucas led all scorers with 41 points. Friday, June 29--'07 (Game 244) - Santa Barbara (166) vs. C. Oregon (135)--The Hotshots kept it close for the first half, but the Breakers explosive third quarter put the game away. The Breakers outscored the Hotshots 53-22 in the third behind a barrage of three pointers. Santa Barbara hit eleven in the period, including five from Fred Vinson. Saturday, June 30--07 (Game 240) - Las Vegas (175) vs. Oregon All-Stars (171)--The Las Vegas Stars ended their first season in the International Basketball League with a victory, defeating the Oregon All-Stars 175-171 on Saturday. All seven Stars players that saw action scored in double figures in the win, led by 32 points from DaJuan Tate. Tuesday, June 26--'07 (Game 239) - Everett (130) vs. Seattle (120)-- The Everett Explosion closed out an impressive regular season with a 133-120 victory in front of 2,065 fans at the Everett Events Center on Tuesday. The Explosion earned the #2 seed in the west bracket of the IBL playoffs with a 16-4 record, and will open postseason play with a first round match-up with the Vancouver Volcanoes on June 29. The Explosion secured the West Division title with Sunday’s victory over the Mountaineers at Bellevue Community College. These same squads will play again at the Everett Events Center on Tuesday, June 26 in the regular season finale for both. Rashaad Powell scored 30 points to lead all scorers for the Explosion. The Meteors secured the top seed in the East for the upcoming IBL playoffs with the victory over the Energy on Sunday. Michael Brownlee had another solid outing for the Meteors, leading the team with 31 points. Deon Rose and Adrick Hills each added 17 points in the win. R. Sunday, June 24--'07 (Game 236) - Vancouver (132) vs. Phoenix (118)-- The visiting Valconoes picked up a much needed win number 6 against the Flame on Sunday. Brad Lechtenburg led all scorers with 34 followed by Sam Moore with 23 points for the Volcanoes. Phoenix's Brandon Bardwell led the team with 25. Del Summers and Stephen Moss-Kelley contributed 23 and 20 points respectively for the Flame. Phoenix looks to seek revenge on the Volcanoes when they match up again on Tuesday night.

The Breakers closed out their inaugural regular season in the IBL on a nine game winning streak, following their victory over the Volcanoes in front of a sellout crowd of 1,994 at Santa Barbara City College on Saturday. Billy Knight led a balanced Santa Barbara attack, scoring 20 points to lead seven Breakers in double figures. The Stampede closed out an impressive 2007 regular season with Saturday’s win over the Hotshots. Salem won the Southwest Division with a league-best record of 17-3. Lorenzo Rollins scored 26 points to pace the visiting Jazz.
Friday, June 22--'07 (Game 228) - Vancouver (117) vs. Santa Barbara (133)--
The Breakers won their eighth straight game—and their 10th in 11 tries—with the victory over the Volcanoes in front of 1,471 fans at the Sports Pavilion at Santa Barbara City College on Friday. The Breakers took control of the game in the third quarter, extending a five point half time advantage to 20 after three periods. Fred Vinson led the charge, breaking his own IBL record for three point shooting in the process. Vinson sank a record 15 three pointers, including six in the Breakers breakout third quarter, en route to a game high 46 points. On June 2, Vinson went 14 of 21 from behind the arc to set the short-lived record for made three pointers in a single game. Friday, June 22--'07 (Game 227) - Central Oregon (147) vs. Portland (178)-- The Chinooks closed out an impressive regular season with a solid win over the visiting Hotshots at the Stott Center on Friday. Central Oregon pulled within five points early in the fourth quarter before the Chinooks pulled away to seal the victory. David Lucas returned to action following a prolonged absence due to a hand injury to score 59 points in the win. Lucas' 59 point outburst matches the league best this season, and marks his the second time he eclipsed the 50 point barrier in 2007. Paul Hafford was outstanding in the loss. The Portland State University alumnus was clearly comfortable in the arena of his alma mater, scoring 47 points for the Hotshots.
Friday, June 22--'07 (Game 226) - Elkhart (117) vs. Marysville (120)--
The Meteors improved to 19-3 on the season with a hard-fought victory over the Express (18-4) on Friday. The win gives Marysville a half game edge in the East Division with a huge rematch on deck for tomorrow night. Marysville had the lead for the first three quarters before Elkhart rallied to take a five point lead in the final period. The Meteors weathered the comeback, and closed out the game down the stretch—avenging a two-point road loss to the Express on May 4. Michael Brownlee was tremendous for the victorious Meteors, finishing with a game high 38 points, including eight three pointers. Tim Pledger hit six treys en route to 32 points to lead the Express. Thursday, June 21--'07 (Game 223) - Chicago Heights (157) vs. Lewis Co. (167)--The Raptors got a much needed trip back to the win column with the victory over the Soldiers on Thursday. Chucky Frierson and Lewis Lofton keyed the win for Lewis County--with Frierson scoring 42 points, and Lofton adding 40. Leading the charge from behind the arc for Santa Barbara was Fred Vinson, who finished with a game high 30 points—shooting 10 for 12 on threes. 11 year NBA veteran Lamond Murray added 24 points in his debut for the Breakers. Like Vinson, Murray’s points came exclusively on three pointers, as Murray shot 8 for 12 from deep.
